The Blocking Process
If a receiver has been stolen from a customer, NovAtel has a procedure that can be initiated to reduce the functionality of that receiver. While it is not possible to remove all functionality, the process will block any Model Upgrades and TerraStar Subscriptions associated with the stolen receiver. The process includes the following steps:
- Block any new Model Upgrades/Authorization Codes being purchased and sent for the receiver
- Cancel any existing TerraStar Subscription Services associated with the receiver
- Block any new purchases of a TerraStar Subscription Service for the receiver
- Update Internal Notes related to the receiver with the information provided by the customer, effectively ‘black-listing’ the receiver
Reporting a Stolen Receiver
If a receiver has been stolen, the customer should immediately contact NovAtel Support using the NovAtel Support Page, and provide the following details of the receiver:
- Receiver card or Enclosure PSN (Product Serial Number)
- In which country was the receiver stolen
- Any further details relevant to the case (e.g., was the receiver installed on a machine when stolen)
