Committed to Safety in Automotive

Hexagon | NovAtel® has committed to developing functionally safe positioning technologies for fully autonomous vehicles and other applications. As part of the company’s firm commitment to this mission, in 2018, a third-party audit was completed that confirms process compliance with key automotive specifications ISO/TS 16949 and ISO 26262 Functional Safety Design Assurance. These are essential steps towards the development of functionally safe new technology that meets the exceptional safety standards set by the automotive industry.

In 2020, NovAtel has completed an internal upgrade of our ISO/TS 16949:2009 process framework to IATF 16949:2016. The company will also complete the implementation of the ASPICE SW process quality framework by December 2020.
