Interference mitigation and scintillation resiliency included in new MarinePak7 firmware 1.4.0 from Hexagon | NovAtel

The marine-certified enclosure MarinePak7 from Hexagon | NovAtel was designed for the harshest marine environments. The new 1.4.0 firmware extends this resiliency with enhancements to the receiver’s ionospheric scintillation protection and interference mitigation through the NovAtel Application Suite.

Radio frequency interference causing jamming and spoofing is rising across marine regions. The 1.4.0 firmware brings NovAtel Application Suite support to the MarinePak7, establishing an intuitive interface for receiver management, constellation and frequency health monitoring and real-time interference insights through GRIT Monitor.

As ionospheric scintillation intensifies, 1.4.0 firmware extends the OEM7 7.09.02 ionospheric scintillation protection to MarinePak7. With the combined solution of a multi-constellation multi-frequency receiver and Oceanix PPP Correction Service, the MarinePak7 delivers the best in accuracy, reliability and redundancy anywhere in the world. Users can identify and observe ionospheric scintillation through the NovAtel Application Suite for enhanced situational awareness.

1.4.0 firmware for MarinePak7 includes: 

• Compatibility with NovAtel Application Suite with Device Manager, Mitigation Assistant, RF Spectrum Viewer, Spoofing Detection and more
• OEM7 7.09.02 firmware, bringing 60% improved PPP accuracy during periods of regional ionospheric scintillation
• L-Band over IP support
• RTK NTRIP can now autoselect the nearest base station for use
