Hexagon | NovAtel announces Version 9.00.2207 of its Waypoint Post-Processing Software Portfolio

15 March 2024

Hexagon | NovAtel has released an update for their Waypoint Post-Processing Software portfolio including Inertial Explorer, Inertial Explorer Xpress and GrafNav/GrafNav Static with significant processing improvements for PPP-AR and differential processing (PPK) users. These enhancements include reducing multi-base differential processing times by up to 90% and lowering memory usage for differential or PPK processing.

Waypoint’s PPP-AR engine now offers full frequency support for better availability of high-quality PPP computed points in a user’s final trajectory and improvements to convergence and reconvergence time.

Users relying on multiple base stations while running differential processing, or PPK, can now specify the maximum number of baselines to use at any point in time. This update drastically reduces processing times by up to 90% when processing large areas or longer datasets. The burden on the user’s computer and memory usage has also decreased with this update.

In addition to these significant enhancements for PPP-AR and differential processing engines, the latest update enables HxGN SmartNet subscribers to choose lower data rates for better control over data quota usage of SmartNet base station data.

The 9.00.2207 version includes the following updates:

  • Full frequency support for PPP-AR engine processing with convergence in as fast as three minutes
  • A new option to manage the number of baselines used in differential processing (PPK) that reduces multi-base processing times by up to 90%
  • A new option for HxGN SmartNet subscribers to request RINEX data at lower rates to reduce their quota consumption with no decrease in quality of end results
  • Completed integration of BeiDou BDS-3 signals with BeiDou B2b now supported across all processing engines
  • Added support for RINEX 4.00 navigation message types LNAV (GPS & QZSS), FDMA (GLONASS), D1/D2 (BeiDou), INAV/FNAV (Galileo)

A complete listing of all changes is available in the “What’s New” document included with the software download.

This software update is available to all existing Waypoint customers with a valid term license or perpetual license within the support period. Users can update their Waypoint software through the application by going to the Help tab and clicking ‘Check for updates.’

Users without an active Waypoint 9.00-based license can request an update by visiting the Waypoint Software Upgrade page.
